Who we are
purrto is an Australian small business selling 100% cardboard cat scratchers. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you reserve a scratcher we collect your name, email address, suburb, state, the quantity you want and any notes you choose to add. If you later complete a purchase we collect the delivery address needed to ship your order. We do not store card details — payments are handled by our payment provider.
Why we collect it
To hold your place in the 100-unit trial run, contact you with a payment link, deliver your order, answer your questions, and — only if you ask us to — let you know when the next run is available.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with the couriers who deliver your order, our payment provider, and the hosting and email services that run this website. We never sell your personal information.
Storage and security
Your details are stored in a secured, access-controlled database. We keep them only as long as we need them for the purposes above or as required by Australian tax and consumer law.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work. We do not run advertising trackers.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
